SYNOPSIS

Aniket, a stressed and unsociable middle manager, lives with his wife Malati and their only son Anirudh in Poona, a small Indian town that he leaves every day at dawn for a long train ride to Bombay where he works. One day, without any explanation, he orders his wife to gather Anirudh’s belongings to go on a trip. They take the train to Shek- hawati, a town in Rajasthan, stuck in the middle of the desert and as if inhabited by the magic of the superb traditional frescoes that adorn the walls of the houses and palaces. Aniket’s mother lives there. The latter has to go abroad and as his wife also works, there is nobody to take care of Anirudh until his return. The old woman gladly accepts to take care of this grandson she hardly knows…
