Fleeing Lebanon for a third time in July 2006, director Philippe Aractingi realizes that, like him, his ancestors have been fleeing wars and massacres for five generations. He explores his roots, from the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the creation of Israel and the civil war in Lebanon. The result is an original film, mixing family photos and archives, Super 8 films and present-day scenes.
